Why this one

Anyone can flag a bad label. We make eating make sense again.

Most food apps do exactly one thing. You scan a barcode, you get a verdict — a color, a number, a thumbs up or down — and then you’re on your own. Still standing in the aisle, still holding the box, with no idea what to actually buy instead, what that food is doing to you, or what to do differently tomorrow. Those apps judge your food. They never help you change what you eat.

The Ingredient Integrity Index™ begins exactly where a scanner quits.

The Index doesn’t just tell you something’s a problem. It shows you what that ingredient is quietly doing inside you, hands you a better choice you can actually buy, answers the next ten questions before you have to ask them, plans your meals, builds your grocery list, and gives you one small, doable thing to work on each day. A scanner is a single moment at the shelf. This is the whole plan that gets you well — and keeps getting you well, long after the scan is over.

And it wasn’t built by a database, or a crowd of strangers rating boxes. It was built by a clinician who spends her days helping real people get their health back by changing what they eat. So “good” here doesn’t mean “a little less bad than the box beside it.” It means genuinely good for the body eating it — judged by someone who has spent years learning what actually makes people well.

If you’re tired every afternoon, stuck at a weight that won’t move, foggy, puffy, inflamed, or just quietly certain that something about the way you eat is working against you — you’re almost always right, and most of it is hiding in plain sight on the label. This is the app that finally makes it visible, and then walks you the whole way to what to eat instead.

Why I built this

I don’t even like talking about nutrition

That’s a strange thing for a clinician to admit, but it’s the truth. I’ve spent years studying how food actually works in the body, and I’ve lived the payoff of it — the steady energy, the clear head, the lab work that finally started cooperating. And still, nutrition is the most crowded, most contradicted, most exhausting corner of health there is. Everyone has a theory. Every theory has a study to wave at you. And underneath all of that noise is a real person just trying to figure out what to put on their plate tonight.

That was the question I heard more than any other — never the fancy ones, always the human ones. What do I actually eat? What can I have instead of this? Is this one okay? What on earth do I order at a restaurant? I’ve answered them thousands of times, and I’d answer them thousands more, because behind every one of those questions is someone genuinely trying to get well.

Here is what all those years taught me: the perfect plan isn’t the same for every person, but the foundation almost always is. There is a handful of principles strong enough that nearly everyone feels the difference the moment they start living by them. That foundation is what I’ve spent my career handing people one conversation at a time — and it’s what I’ve finally built into something you can carry in your pocket.

Because the truth underneath all of it is simple, even when the subject isn’t: what you put into your body is the number-one reason you’re unwell. Not the only reason — but the first one. Change that, and everything else finally has room to heal.

What it does

The Index looks like a scanner. It’s really a health-creation tool.

Scanning is just the front door. Behind the scan is everything you’d ask a practitioner if you had one on call — the “is this okay?”, the “what do I eat instead?”, and the hundred quieter questions in between.

Scan any label

Point your camera at the ingredient list and the nutrition panel. In seconds, the Index gives you a clear score out of ten and the plain reasons behind it — so you know whether it belongs in your cart before you’ve left the aisle. No typing, no chemistry, no squinting at fine print.

Know what each ingredient is doing to you

A score tells you something’s off. The Index tells you exactly why. Every flagged ingredient comes with a plain explanation of what it does once it’s in you — the seed oil driving inflammation, the additive disrupting your gut, the hidden sugar behind your afternoon crash, the chronic back pain you never tied to your plate, the sore joints you’d blamed on getting older. You stop guessing and start choosing on purpose.

Know what to reach for instead

A “no” is only half an answer. Whenever a product doesn’t make the cut, the Index hands you a better one — a real product you’ll find at your store, named outright, or a simple make-it-yourself when nothing on the shelf is worth buying.

Ask the Index

The hundred questions you’d text a nutritionist if you had one on call — what can I swap this for, is this okay, what do I order when we go out — answered the way The H.E.A.L. Network answers them, any time you open the app.

Plan your meals

Meals built to fuel your health, made from foods you already love — so eating well stops being a nightly puzzle and becomes a habit.

Build your grocery list

Every good choice, gathered into a running list you shop straight from — so you walk in already knowing what to grab, instead of second-guessing in the aisle.

A health-creation tip, every day

One small, doable idea every day. Real health isn’t built in a single overhaul — it’s built one ordinary choice at a time, and this is the nudge that keeps them coming.

The rating

Two questions, asked at once

Every product earns a score out of ten. What makes the Index different is that both halves of the question are weighed together — because in real life, they never come apart.

The integrity of the ingredients

What’s truly in it — the additives, the seed oils, the hidden sugars, and the fillers that were never meant to be food. The fewer things your body has to fight, defend against, or store away, the higher a product climbs.

How the food will make you feel

The crash, the cravings, the 3 p.m. slump that follows the wrong choice — all of it is set in motion by what a food does to you after you eat it, whether or not you’ve ever thought about it. The foods that keep you steady and satisfied score higher than the ones that lift you up just to drop you.

The exact formula is ours to keep. But the philosophy behind it is no secret: the closer a food is to something your great-grandmother would recognize, the higher it scores.
